Appello ai leaders coinvolti

E' con costernazione e senso di impotenza che di questi ultimi tempi il Medio Oriente, con la guerra di Siria e poi a Gaza/Palestina, hanno reso estremamente funeste le notizie di agenzia, con miriadi di vittime innocenti.

Ci stiamo chiedendo ormai a cosa servano i trattati internazionali, sulla tutela dei Diritti Umani e Civili, le varie Convenzioni di Ginevra, l'ONU stessa... Sappiamo che la prima vittima di ogni guerra è la Verità.

Ma che essa venga così manipolata e distorta da "giustificare" azioni di guerra contro la popolazione civile innocente di Gaza, con criminali e spietati bombardamenti, (con bombe e missili ad alto potenziale distruttivo, ed altre armi letali proibite) mascherandoli come azioni di "legittima difesa" contro un "terrorismo" inesistente, per mascherare "il proprio", è inaccettabile e ripugnante.

Particolarmente quando gli obiettivi sono ospedali, ambulanze, scuole, strutture ONU. Solo questo basterebbe per mettere al bando Israele dalla "Comunità Internazionale"... E sottoporre Israele ad azione giudiziaria dalla Corte Penale Internazionale. L'ONU stessa ed il diritto internazionale prevedono il diritto all'autodifesa. Ma non si capisce perchè al popolo palestinese questo sia un diritto negato... Perchè la Palestina, e Gaza in particolare, è il paradigma ed il simbolo di tutte le ingiustizie del mondo.

Come si può accettare oggi un assedio di molti anni, in una "prigione a cielo aperto", per quasi due milioni di persone? La Palestina sta soffrendo di un genocidio a "bassa intensità", dove la popolazione è ormai "straniera sulla propria terra", dove Israele sta sistematicamente espropriandola della terra, delle case, dell'acqua, del diritto al proprio futuro.

Forse è un modo per "vendicarsi" della immensa tragedia subita dai propri padri e nonni, causa l'Olocausto?... Molti ebrei progressisti e libertari, pure ultraortodossi antisionisti, protestano vibratamente da anni contro il regime israeliano. Come i giovani "refusenik", obiettori di coscienza al servizio militare, i quali rifiutano di vessare e sparare addosso ai palestinesi. E tutti loro invocano dure sanzioni economiche e boicottaggio per Israele... Documentati episodi testimoniano quanto l'odio e l'apartheid incidano su tanti israeliani, come assistere allo "spettacolo" dei mortali bombardamenti su Gaza, comodamente seduti poco oltre "casa propria". O manifestare sadicamente per strada la propria "gioia" per il massacro di tanti bambini...

Noi pompieri progressisti, conosciamo bene il valore della vita umana. Siamo rispettati e stimati dalla popolazione, perchè la vita cerchiamo di tutelarla al meglio. Durante i nostri interventi, quanta sofferenza si accumula nelle nostre menti, quando vediamo scorrere il sangue, o avvertiamo il tremendo odore della carne umana carbonizzata... E a maggior ragione, come possiamo accettare che tanto sangue umano innocente venga versato a causa di potentissimi e micidiali ordigni bellici?...

Con commozione riconoscente, un pensiero particolare va ai colleghi pompieri, al personale medico e paramedico, che con eroica abnegazione e professionalità, pure rischiando la vita, si sono e si stanno prodigando per salvare migliaia di vite umane. Con empatia e sgomento pensiamo alle decine di migliaia di feriti, mutilati e sofferenti, profondamente segnati nel corpo e nella mente, oltre che a Gaza, nelle guerre dimenticate di Siria ed Africa. Soprattutto i bambini...

NOI CI OPPONIAMO FERMAMENTE ALLA LOGICA DELL'ORRORE E DEL MASSACRO!

Chiediamo, anzi pretendiamo, che le relazioni internazionali vengano riconsiderate, mettendo al centro di tutto i Diritti Umani e Civili Universali, così ignorati e calpestati!

Che le organizzazioni internazionali, prima fra tutte l'ONU, possano operare con pieni poteri il ruolo che gli compete, nella prevenzione e gestione dei conflitti. In particolare con l'istituzione dei Corpi Civili di Pace, disarmati e nonviolenti.

Che la guerra venga ripudiata e messa al bando, come sistema perverso per la risoluzione dei conflitti, nonchè come lucroso mezzo di arrichimento per pochi.

Che il profitto economico conseguente allo sfruttamento selvaggio di vaste aree del pianeta, nonchè di di centinaia di milioni di esseri umani, ad opera di compagnie e multinazionali senza scrupoli, causa di guerre lunghe e sanguinose, possa essere fermato.

Che il futuro dei bambini di oggi possa essere accompagnato dai colori dell'arcobaleno e non dal nefasto grigiore delle macchine da guerra!...

RESTIAMO UMANI!

FIREMEN AGAINST WAR AND VIOLENCE (For Life, Peace and Justice) Appeal to the leaders involved With dismay and a sense of helplessness that in recent times the Middle East, with the war in Syria and then in Gaza / Palestine, with myriads of innocent civilian victims, the news from agencies have become extremely funereals. We're now wondering can serve the international treaties on the protection of human and civil rights, the various Geneva Conventions, the same UN …

We know that the first victim of any war is the truth. But it is so manipulated and distorted to "justify" acts of war against a innocent civilian population of Gaza, with criminals and ruthless bombing (bombs and missiles with high destructive potential, and others lethal forbidden weapons) disguising as acts of "self-defense" against a non-existent "terrorism ", is unacceptable and repulsive.

Especially when the targets are hospitals, ambulances, schools, UN structures. Only this could be enought for banish Israel from the "International Community"... And undergo an action by International crown court. Each international law provide for the right of self-defense. But we do not understand because this right is denied to the Palestinian people... Because Palestine, and Gaza in particular, are the paradigm and the symbol of all injustices in the world.

How can we accept today a siege of many years, in an "open-air prison" for nearly two million people? Palestine is suffering from a "low intensity" genocide, where the population is now "foreign on his own land," where Israel is systematically expropriating their land, houses, water, the right to their own future. Perhaps it is a way to "take revenge" of the immense tragedy suffered by their fathers and grandfathers, during the Holocaust? Many liberals and libertarians Jewish, as well anti-Zionist ultra-Orthodox, vehemently protesting for years against the Israeli regime. As well young "refuseniks", conscientious objectors to military service, which refuse to harass and shoot against the Palestinians. And all of them invoke economic sanctions and boycott of Israel ...

We, progressives firemens, we know the value of human life. We are respected and esteemed by the people, for the life that we try to protect better that we can. During our work, how much suffering builds up in our minds when we see the blood flowing, or feel the terrible smell of burning human flesh. And more importantly, how can we accept that a lot of innocent human blood is spilled as a result of powerful and deadly weapons of war? With grateful emotion, a special thought goes to fellow firemens, to medical personnel and paramedics, who with heroic self-sacrifice and professionalism, even risking their lives, have done their utmost and are doing their utmost to save thousands of lives. With empathy and dismay we think to the tens of thousands of wounded, maimed and suffering, profoundly marked in their body and their mind, not only as in Gaza, but also in the forgotten wars of Syria and Africa. Especially children …

WE STRONGLY OPPOSE THE LOGIC OF HORROR AND OF MASSACRE! We ask, we demand, that international relations be reconsidered, focusing on all Universal Civil and Human Rights, so ignored and trampled.

May international organizations, first of all the UN, with full powers for the role it deserves in the prevention and management of conflicts, can operate. In particular, trough the establishment of Civil Peace Corps, unarmed and nonviolent.

May the war be repudiated and banned as perverse system for conflict's resolution, as well as a lucrative way of enrichment for elites of power.

May can be stopped the economic benefit resulting from the uncontrolled exploitation of vast areas of the planet, as well the exploitation of hundreds of millions of human beings, in the hands of unscrupulous companies and multinationals, cause of long and bloody wars.

May the future of today's children be accompanied by the colors of the rainbow, not by the greyness of the nefarious war machines! ...
